This trip is designed to refresh and rejuvenate travelers through experiences that focus on wellness and time spent in nature. For the best experience, travelers should have a reasonable level of fitness and should be comfortable walking long distances on uneven terrain.

The Itinerary — 5 Days, 4 Nights

Arrive to either Phoenix or Flagstaff airport and catch a scheduled shuttle to Sedona - 2 hours from Phoenix, 1 hour from Flagstaff. Upon arriving, the driver will drop you off at your hotel for the next 4 nights, A Sunset Chateau.

Enjoy leisure time to get settle into your private room. Then meet your ATC Trip Host and the rest of your group for a gentle hike up the 3.2-mile Airport Mesa Loop in order to kick off the trip with a bit of activity and beautiful sunset views. (Elevation gain on this hike is a mild 416 feet.) After witnessing your first breathtaking Arizona sunset, enjoy a Welcome Dinner at the hilltop Mesa Grill which features some of the most spectacular views in all of Sedona. Transportation back to the hotel will be provided.

Get an early start to the day with a sightseeing tour around Sedona. Your guide will pick you up just before sunrise, giving you a chance to capture amazing photographs and enjoy some of the best views essentially crowd-free. Stroll through a local canyon, search for wildlife near the tranquil Oak Creek, and drink in iconic views from a convenient viewing area. Take a stroll up to the Chapel of the Holy Cross, a modern church blended seamlessly with the surrounding rocks, and enjoy having Sedona all to yourself - or so it might seem- during these early morning hours.

After the conclusion of your tour, have lunch and enjoy the views at Creekside American Bistro. Later spend the afternoon shopping and strolling around the Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village, “the art and soul of Sedona” modeled in the likeness of a quaint Mexican village.

Regroup in the evening for dinner at Elote Cafe, one of the most popular restaurants in all of Sedona! Enjoy spectacular Mexican-Arizonan-inspired cuisine at this fantastic restaurant.

In the morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel and escort you on a scenic drive through northern Arizona. Enjoy views of the Painted Desert and towering mountain peaks on your way to Horseshoe Bend, where the Colorado River makes a sweeping horseshoe-shaped bend around the surrounding rock in a truly spectacular fashion. Enjoy the views from 1000 feet above this amazing place before continuing the journey towards Antelope Canyon.

Antelope Canyon, a slot canyon shaped by centuries of flash floods is a truly spectacular place. A local Navajo guide will escort you through the weaving walls of this incredible place and provide insight into its significance. Note: The base of the canyon must be reached by climbing up and down steep ladders. An alternate activity can be arranged for travelers who have difficulty with this.

On the way back to Sedona, pay a visit to the historic Cameron Trading Post where you’ll have the opportunity to buy souvenirs from the Southwest Native American Art Gallery.

Return to Sedona in the evening and enjoy dinner at Heartline Cafe, a cozy, eclectic restaurant with a garden courtyard and gourmet-caliber meals.

Day 4

Begin the day with an incredible sunrise hot air balloon ride over Sedona. As you glide through the crisp morning air, watch the red rocks below as they change from deep purple to firey red under the light of the rising sun. Upon landing, enjoy a lively champagne breakfast and return to town for some leisure time. Note: Alternate activity ideas will be provided for those not fond of heights or early mornings.

No visit to Sedona would be complete without a visit to one of the area’s many known vortexes, “thought to be swirling centers of energy that are conducive to healing, meditation and self-exploration. These are places where the earth seems especially alive with energy. Many people feel inspired, recharged or uplifted after visiting a vortex.” Discover for yourself what all the talk is about on a guided Hiking and Yoga Vortex Experience. No yoga experience required!

Upon the conclusion of your vortex tour, spend the rest of the day rejuvenating at the beautiful Amara Spa, massage included. In the evening, enjoy a delightful Farewell Dinner at the gorgeous Mariposa Restaurant.

Day 5

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before boarding the shuttle to head back to either Phoenix or Flagstaff for your return flight home.

Payment Schedule

  • $800 deposit is required upon booking.

  • $1,600 payment due on or before July 1, 2021.

  • $1,100 payment due on or before August 1, 2021.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancel your trip 90 days or more prior to departure, and you will receive a full refund of any monies paid to the ATC. Cancel your trip between 89 - 60 days prior to departure, and you will receive a 50% refund. Cancel your trip between 59 - 30 days prior to departure and you will receive a 25% refund. Cancel your trip less than 30 days prior to departure, and you will receive no refund.

  • All cancellations must be sent via email to contact@astridtravel.com and are effective the date we receive this correspondence.

    ATC reserves the right to cancel this trip for any reason. Such reasons include, but are not limited to, not achieving a minimum number of participants necessary to make the trip feasible, weather phenomena, and other unforeseen circumstances. In such event, you may choose to either receive a full refund or apply your payments to another trip if approved by ATC.

Traveler Requirements

  • Travelers must have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months following the return travel date if traveling internationally.

  • Travelers are responsible for making their own flight arrangements.

  • Travelers must provide a copy of their desired flight reservation before booking to ensure that all information is correct.

Travel Insurance is Recommended

  • The ATC does not require travel insurance if traveling domestically, however, it is strongly recommended you purchase travel insurance. In the event that you are unable attend this trip due to an illness, family emergency, missed or canceled flight, act of terrorism, natural disaster, etc., Astrid Solo Travel Advisor, AstridTravel LLC, the AstridTravel Club LLC, nor any affiliated person or party will be held responsible for payment repatriation.
